Hello,

this is Mavis’s sponsor…

umm…

Lola.

Mavis will not be blogging here today.

She received a package in the mail yesterday and went into one of her

“episodes”

…again

…and is currently undergoing treatment for this matter.

Hopefully she will be in a better frame of mind tomorrow…

So be sure and check back.

If you would like to send her get well wishes…

please do so in the comment section provided below…

and I will pass them on to her.

Or…

If you don’t wish her well…

(you sick, sick person you)

you can always try and guess what was in the package that sent her into her downward spiral.

This has been Lola…

reporting live…

from the coupon treatment center room #208.

I say tomato… you say tammma

I decided to plant some tomatoes…

You know… just a few…

Well 100 to be exact…

These little peat pot thing a ma jigs are my favorite container to plant tomato seeds in…

Plus they are fun to squish between your fingers …

Hello little pile of peat mossy dirt…

I selected 10 different tomatoes to grow this year…

Amish Paste happens to be my favorite variety for tomato sauce…
It’s amazing to me that just one of these little seeds can grow 50+ lbs of tomatoes…
It’s a miracle really…

After planting two seeds per container…
I push them down into the dirt with a bamboo skewer…
and cover with a bit of soil.

And then off they go to their temporary residence…
behind the couch… for the next 2 months or so…

And just for fun… I thought I would try growing some of my “cold weather” veggies in the little peat pots too…
(I placed the container in my “greenhouse” outside.)
Rainbow Chard, Bok Choy, Romaine Lettuce, Kolrabi, and Cabbage

How about you… have you planted anything yet?

Are you even thinking about planting yet?
